Thebes stool with a turned-leg-and-spindle base topped with a bentwood seat. 17" square by 15" high. Small chip in veneer of seat and a bit of wear in finish around seat edge.
Stools like this were popularized by Liberty and Co. of London in the late 1800s through the early 1900s. See examples at http://collections.vam.
